Kerala cities to become Wi-Fi enabled soon

By end of March Kerala’s major cities to become wi-fi with the BSNL’s WiMax service.The WiMax  (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) will allow the customers to use internet at a speed of 2 mbps anywhere in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Kozhikode and Thrissur cities.The city limits of the four districts will be covered first.
If your device is Wi-Fi enabled then you can connect to internet without the need to Modem and computer.This will allow users to use internet while travelling.
This will allow users wo doesn’t have BSNL landphone connection to get internet connection.
BSNL has already completed a survey and if the project is success the entire state will be wi-fi soon.If that happenes Kerala will become the first Wi-Fi enabled state in India.
This is a very welcome and useful decision by BSNL.Let us hope we will be able to browse the net while travelling i Kerala cities
