Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is an organization of the Department of Information Technology (DIT) and Ministry of Communications & Information Technology (MCIT). It was established in 1988 for building supercomputers. Its main aim is to perform R&D in IT, Electronics and other related areas. From the earlier times, CDAC was involved in building various generations of supercomputers.
Today, C-DAC became a premier third party R&D organization in Information Technologies and Electronics in India which works for strengthening the technological capabilities in the context of global developments in the field and responding to change in the market need in selected foundation areas.
The vision of CDAC is to emerge as a R&D institution for designing, developing and deploying IT solutions for the human and economic advancement.
