Ambalavayal Heritage Museum is situated in Wayanad district. It is an archaeological museum and has a wide collection of rare articles. Certain artifacts date back to the 2nd century which proves that the earlier human civilization was advanced and organized well. Tribal articles such as bows, arrows, stone weapons, sculptures etc are kept for display here. Several other hunting equipment, idols of Gods and jewelry are also housed here. An idol of the Goddess named Urvara who is believed to be responsible for the well being of the tribes are kept in the main hall.
