People TV is launched by Malayalam Communications Ltd. and it focuses mainly on news and current affairs.  It was this channel that had introduced the camera sting operation in Malayalam Television Journalism. But they restrict this within certain limits and they keep it as a weapon to use it rarely when necessary. The chairman post is held by Malayalam Film Actor Mammootty and recently Mr. T R Ajayan was appointed as the Executive Director of Malayalam Communications Limited. He had assumed this post after Mr. John Brittas had resigned from the post of Managing Director and Editor of the company.
